Jay began his career in the financial services industry at TCF Bank in 2002.  Because of his personable and caring style, and his driving commitment to get things done, he was asked to consider training to become a registered representative dedicated to helping bank customers with their investments.  He accepted, and quickly rose to become one of the top representatives not just in his branch, but in all of TCF territories.

After a number of years, Jay felt that TCF had limited access to the products and services he needed to better serve his more sophisticated clients' needs.  He accepted a position as an Investment Advisor Representative at Charter One Bank.  There, he continued to expand his experience working with clients, but realized after some time that while he was an employee of a bank or any other organization, he would be beholden to their objectives and goals for his time.  Jay wanted to be able to focus 100% on the needs and objectives of his client's bottom line, not his employer's.

Despite the challenges involved in establishing a financial advisory practice, Jay was committed to this important step for his clients.  In 2010, Jay established Cutrera Financial and has enjoyed the rewards and fulfillment of helping clients reach their objectives in the manner which is best for them.

In his free time, Jay enjoys playing and watching sports, and coaches his young nephew's football team.

Jay and his wife, Kasia, live in the Northern Chicago Suburbs.
